ABOUT MAMA ORACLE
Mama Oracle became quite aware of her Gifts in early childhood, possessing the ability to see, hear, and feel things from the Unseen, as well as channeling energy and healing with her hands. Like many who are called into the Healing Arts, Tamara’s early life was both beautiful and traumatic. As a child she experienced emotional abuse, sexual abuse, bullying, rejection, anxiety, depression, and battled with binge eating disorder as a self-soothing technique to cope with her stressful and traumatic environment. She learned to mask her curiosity and repress her Gifts and true Essence when facing rejection and bullying at school after sharing these Gifts with others. The taboos in her family and culture around Spirituality also made her mask her Gifts. She felt quite different than the norm at the time, not feeling like she belonged.
She thus spent much time in solitude as a teenager, especially in her room at home, meditating, praying, and asking Source questions as to why she was experiencing the traumas inflicting her life. She remembered from a very young age what her contract was in this world and what she came down here to do: to help others heal. She was always asking Source when she would get to see all the people she’s meant to heal. Though she quickly understood that she was a Spiritual Being having a human experience, when plethoras of traumas were accumulating in her life with no one to support her, she began to question her place in the world, not yet understanding that she was simply being prepared.
Inquisitive by nature, Mama Oracle has always had an insatiable thirst for knowledge, including mysticism, astrology, astronomy, numerology, cosmology, Kemetic history, spirituality, holistic health, mysteries of the universe, and more. She spent a lot of her teenage years reading books and watching documentaries to quench her thirst. From 18 to 27 years young, she practiced celibacy, fasting, and spiritual practices to connect deeper with her Higher Self and Source. This propelled her on a deep spiritual journey that started her path to heal others.
Often times, we perceive our lives through fragmented lens, which can lead to looking for solutions that often act as a band-aid rather than as a vehicle leading us to the very heart of our challenges. Krishnamurti once said that, “as long as there is fragmentation, there is conflict”. That statement rings especially true when on the journey of self-healing. Both Ancient Eastern & Western wisdom, along with Ecology and certain branches of Science have demonstrated that the nature of life is undeniably interdependent. The body is a perfect example of an interdependent system. It is comprised of many biological systems that interact and depend on one another. In order to be in a healthy body, all systems must work as a whole in unison. In fact, the word “whole” means to be healthy and sane, but it also means to be holy.
Whether you are recovering from a physical injury, overcoming an illness, healing from emotional or psychological trauma, experiencing a spiritual crisis or simply wanting to enhance and deepen your life experience; It is beneficial to observe both the inner landscapes (psychological, spiritual, emotional) and the external landscapes (physical, environmental) of the self. Thus, considering the whole of the human experience. Holistic living is a way of life that supports our many needs through consciously integrating our spiritual, psychological, emotional and physical life. It is a journey and not an end unto itself.
This is what Mama Oracle learned while adopting a Holistic lifestyle, after healing herself from adrenal fatigue, hypoglycemia, and inflammation in 2013, with the help of a naturopath who introduced her to herbs. She connected the dots between her emotional/psychological wounds, her eating disorder, her lack of self-love, her dysregulated nervous system, and deepened her spiritual practice further. She chose to heed the call and enter her life’s work by moving from a state of victimhood to that of acceptance, empowerment and inspired action.
Her innate sense of conviction and connection to the great mystery of life acted as the well from which she drew inspiration, courage and strength to seek out the tools, training (education) and practices that would launch her into her full potential.
Along her path, she met several Shamans, Masters, Spiritual Healers, and Spiritual Teachers, who taught her and guided her towards harnessing her Gifts and acquired skills, including the late Dr. Llaila Afrika and his wife Dr. Melanie Stevenson, with whom she had the chance to live and learn from for a couple of months. This is how Mama Oracle came to be. Today, with over 10 years of practical experience and over 20 000 clients under her belt, she works with many who are seeking to find harmony in their lives. She specializes in Energy Medicine, Trauma Healing, Herbalism, Fertility, Pregnancy, and Birth, using her deep empathic abilities, energetic Gifts and ability to channel the Light of the Source.
She believes that the role of the Healer is that of a channel who holds space and provides the tools for individuals to feel seen, empowered, supported, understood and in charge of their own healing.
